The purpose of Government Affairs is to respond to legislative and political issues of concern to the real estate industry, to interview candidates for office and assist in determining support from the Association for local elections, to recommend and facilitate RPAC fund contributions to local candidates, and recommend and facilitate Issues Mobilization fund contributions to local and state issues and efforts.

Since 1969, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) has promoted the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: voluntary contributions made by REALTORS® are used to help elect candidates at the local, state, and national levels who understand and support the industry’s interests.
